CityStreAtZ provides users with a mapping system that enables them to
search for addresses across the whole of the City.
Having found a location you can ascertain a wide variety of information
about the neighbourhood in which the property is located, the services
that are nearby, you can even delve into the history of the area by
displaying historic maps.
You can search for an address by one of the following:
- Street name and property number
- Building name
- Postcode and property number
The services that can be pinpointed include:
- Libraries
- Schools
- Leisure facilities
- A variety of Council offices
- Health
- and many others
To gain an understanding of you neighbourhood you can investigate its
characteristics by looking at statistics from the 2001 Census. Further
information about the history of an area can be derived from the historical
maps which date back to 1884. |
INSTRUCTIONS
To navigate around the City, use Search to find a
street/property, postcode or building name. You don't need to enter the
full details, just the first few letters will do and then pick from the
list that is generated underneath.
To change the map set being viewed, click on one of the themes listed
in the first panel of Maps-Layers. Individual layers can then be
switched on or off by using the next panel down.
To identify local services select Topics and chose one or more
of the items listed. To work out which ones are closest, make you you have
entered an address in the Search section above and click the Find
the Nearest button.
To view statistical data, click on Thematics. This lets you
create maps showing the characteristics of the City's population.
